The latest news and updates from AR Engineering...

On Tuesday 23rd February we held an event to mark some major events in the organisation’s development. The occasion marked the culmination of many months of work for AR Engineering Industries. The transition from A&R Engineering the partnership to AR Engineering Industries Ltd was, as is the case with any major project of this kind, not always an easy one but the solid foundation that we have built over this time will stand us in good stead to buck the current economic trend.
Having been established for over 16 years, we felt it was time to refresh the look of the business so we underwent some major changes right from the our logo and the look of all our printing and literature all the way to the internal structure and larger scale business strategies.
However, for us, it was not just a celebration of our own achievements but a chance to raise awareness of the state of the British Manufacturing Industry and build support for its revival. We firmly believe it is not just down to big business and multinational corporations to turn around the steady decline of, what was once, our most important industry but every small business has a responsibility to do their bit to encourage the growth that is so badly needed.
Operations Director, Claire, spoke passionately about how small businesses are able to offer things that big firms cannot.
"Today is not only a celebration for AR Engineering Industries, but also I would like you to recognise this as a representation of the importance and significance of

the small to medium enterprise in today’s society. SMEs such as AR can offer many advantages over larger faceless corporations – we can offer a personal service, we can have the scope for flexibility to accommodate your needs and can be dynamic and responsive because you can deal directly with us and our engineers – no call centres or electronic voices to decipher your problems, just real people and real engineers."
Throughout the run up to the event and on the day, we were grateful for the support of MAS, the Manufacturing Advisory Service. Grant Baker from MAS was in attendance and kindly said a few words. MAS have been invaluable to us during our transition period, offering advice and guidance on every aspect of the project. They are as keen as us to see the Manufacturing Sector regain its position as a shining light of the British Economy.
We would also like to extend special thanks to our associates at Sadler Davies & Co for their help and support on the day and the period leading up to the event.
